What to do with soft tissue injury?

In our daily lives, we will inevitably encounter bumps and bruises, which may even lead to soft tissue contusions, joint injuries, muscle strains, etc. Among them, soft tissue injuries are very common. Once they occur, they need to be effectively treated as soon as possible, otherwise, it may cause excessive muscle contraction and obvious tearing. So, when soft tissue injuries occur, what should we do specifically?

Treatment of soft tissue injuries :

Limit activity: After soft tissue injury, avoid the action that caused the injury to reduce the risk of further injury. Raise the injured part above the level of the heart to promote blood return.

Cold compress: Within 24 hours after soft tissue injury, patients should apply cold compress to their affected area in time. Due to the principle of thermal expansion and contraction, cold compress can shrink blood vessels and relieve swelling of the affected area. A cold compress can reduce congestion in the affected area, lower the temperature of damaged tissue, and inhibit mixed sensory nerve fibers. It can effectively reduce swelling, stop bleeding, and relieve pain. Patients can soak a towel in cold water and apply it to the affected area for cold compress, or use an ice pack for cold compress. Local cold compress can shrink blood vessels and relieve pain and swelling.

Use of medication: If the pain caused by soft tissue injury is severe, some medications are needed for treatment. At this time, patients can take some non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics to relieve their pain. In addition, you can also spray some Yunnan Baiyao tablets aerosol on the affected area. Yunnan Baiyao tablets aerosol has the effect of promoting blood circulation, dispersing blood stasis, reducing swelling, and relieving pain, and is also very effective in treating soft tissue injuries.

Pressure bandage: When the soft tissue injury is more serious, patients should apply pressure bandage to their affected area. This can effectively prevent swelling and stop bleeding. Self-adhesive elastic bandages can be used to provide external pressure to reduce bleeding and edema. If the joints are also injured, this can limit the movement of the joints to a certain extent to prevent the patient from being more seriously injured. When bandaging, first cover the injured area with gauze, and then bandage it with a self-adhesive elastic bandage. When bandaging, be sure not to cause a sense of urgency to the affected area.

Of using a self-adhesive elastic bandage?

1. Self-adhesive: No need to use tape or other tools to fix it, just stick it on lightly.

2. Elastic: It has a certain degree of elasticity, can fit closely to the skin, and is not easy to slide or wrinkle.

3. Breathability: The use of breathable material helps the skin breathe and reduces skin problems.

4. Comfort: The material is soft, comfortable to wear, and will not cause pressure on the skin.

How to use a self-adhesive bandage?

Before using a self-adhesive bandage, make sure the skin is clean and dry. Then, gently attach the bandage to the wound, avoiding excessive traction and tight binding. Pay attention to the blood flow of the wound site to avoid poor blood circulation, edema, and pain.

Note tips :

Make sure your skin is clean and dry before use to avoid affecting the self-adhesiveness. If you find that your skin is allergic to the bandage material, please stop using it immediately and consult a doctor. Bandages should not be used continuously for a long time and should be replaced regularly to keep the skin breathable. The tightness of the bandage should be moderate. Too tight or too loose will affect the effect.

During the period of soft tissue damage, you must pay more attention to rest and not overwork. You must also maintain a good mood, a beautiful mood is the best medicine to cure all diseases!
