RedDress Launches ActiGraft PRO with G-Code Reimbursement Status

Posted by Admin | 21 Jul

ActiGraft PRO is now available in the US and is eligible for reimbursement through Medicare and Medicare Advantage. This is an autologous point-of-care wound management solution made from the patient's whole blood for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers (DFU). The ActiGraft PRO Blood Clot is applied directly to the wound surface and forms a clot at the patient's bedside within 5 minutes by mixing fresh whole blood with a proprietary coagulation powder. ActiGraft PRO contains whole blood cells, including white blood cells, red blood cells, plasma, platelets, and fibrin, in concentrations optimal for the wound healing process. Once applied, ActiGraft PRO promotes cascading healing and acts as a protective layer.

Although reimbursement for ActiGraft PRO is currently only available to diabetic patients with non-pressure injured chronic wounds of the lower extremities, the product may be used in a variety of chronic wounds including, but not limited to diabetic and neuropathic ulcers, venous ulcers, traumatic wounds, postoperative wounds, skin tears and surgical wounds. Since RedDress received FDA clearance and CE Mark in 2020, ActiGraft has helped more than 6,000 patients in various healthcare settings in the United States and 30 other countries.

The launch of ActiGraft PRO will provide diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) patients with a more convenient and efficient treatment option and bring more economic benefits to the healthcare system. ActiGraft PRO is designed to promote wound healing and meet the needs of today's high-volume clinics and centers, providing practitioners with a premium wound healing solution for fast, easy, and clean procedures. The launch of ActiGraft PRO has brought a new treatment option to the healthcare industry and is expected to help more patients recover sooner.
