1. How do blisters form?

The core reason is that the shear force generated by the motion friction continuously tears the surface layer of the skin and the subcutaneous tissue, causing them to separate and form a gap. Blisters are small bubbles of clear fluid in the skin that appear most often in areas where friction occurs, such as the toes, heels, balls, or soles of the feet .

① Friction: Friction between the skin and socks, shoes, or insoles creates pockets of fluid filled with plasma as the top skin layers begin to separate.

②Moisture: Sweat or moisture in rainy, humid environments can make the skin more prone to friction and blisters.

③ Shoes that don't fit your feet: Shoes that don't fit your feet (too loose or too tight) can rub, pinch, and irritate your skin.

2. How to prevent blisters ?

You can prevent blisters by addressing the likely culprit.

Tip 1. Find the right shoes.

Since foot shapes are different, choosing the right shoes for your feet will ensure your feet are comfortable. Avoid shoe ends that are too narrow, and don't pull the laces too tight! If you must wear high heels, lower your heels to avoid transferring too much weight to the forefoot. When choosing shoes, pay attention to seams, buckles, straps and eyelets that can end up causing unnecessary friction or pressure.

Tip 2. Protect the skin on your feet

To prevent the formation of blisters, good foot hygiene must be observed. Wash, dry and apply Vaseline daily to relieve dry and damaged feet. Use professional pliers or nail clippers to trim nails evenly and straight. This avoids angles that hurt other toes or unnecessarily stress. If you are tempted to use a pumice stone to polish dead skin, don't do it too often, as it can aggravate hyperkeratosis!

Tip 3. Use Innomed ® blister patch

Vigorous exercise and wearing new shoes should prevent the formation of blisters in advance. 3. How to treat blisters on feet ?

If you already have blisters, get them treated as soon as possible after exercising.

If the blister is less than 5mm in diameter, picking it is not recommended, the small blister may burst and drain on its own, or reabsorb within a few days . However, if the diameter of the blister is greater than 5 mm, it is recommended that you puncture the blister. First, disinfect the skin around the blister, and then use a sterilized needle to puncture the edge of the blister to release the cyst fluid, and then apply longterm Medical hydrocolloid dressing. The wound provides a slightly acid-sealed space suitable for wound healing, and can also prevent the invasion of foreign microorganisms and prevent wound infection.
