Can oil-absorbing papers prevent acne?

In the hot summer, oily skin is the troublesome skin problem for many people. Excessive sebum secretion, clogged hair follicles, and bacterial infection are related to summer. Oil-absorbing paper can make the skin look more refreshing, so many girls use it to absorb excess oil on the skin's surface. Let's see if oil-absorbing paper can help prevent acne.

The role of oil-absorbing paper :

Oil-absorbing paper is a thin paper, usually made of natural or synthetic materials, that has the ability to absorb oil. It can quickly absorb oil on the skin's surface, reduce shine, and make the skin look more refreshing. Oily skin is caused by excessive secretion of oil by the sebaceous glands of the skin and clogged pores, but it may also be related to Propionibacterium acnes infection, constipation, excessive stress, bad mood, seasonal changes, incomplete skin cleansing, staying up late, etc.

Tips to prevent acne :

Take good care of your skin. It is recommended to choose mild cleansing products to wash your face. Apply mild face cream immediately after washing your face to control oil and moisturize your skin. Avoid overly sweet foods such as chocolate, spicy foods such as peppers and fatty meat, and foods with high-fat content. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes and apples. Ensure adequate sleep, at least 8 hours a day, and try not to stay up late.

Clear the blockage and make the sebum outflow channel unobstructed.

Skincare products have an oil control effect, but in the case of a significant increase in sebum in the hot summer climate, the effect is relatively limited. It can turn oily skin that uses three or four oil-absorbing papers a day into neutral skin. Even if it is a vitamin A ingredient, it can better improve hyperkeratosis, acne, and pimples, but it may have a relatively limited performance in oil control. Therefore, focusing on unblocking so that sebum does not form micro-acne due to keratinization of hair follicles is the key point that oily acne skin needs to pay more attention to. 2%~4% concentration of salicylic acid penetrates into the lipid-rich hair follicles, promotes the shedding of waste keratin, and also plays a certain role in oil control. Hydrocolloid acne patches can be used at night to prevent the entry of foreign microorganisms and make acne heal faster. In addition, using oil-absorbing paper to absorb those dirty or oxidized oils is also beneficial to the skin.
